IELTS Academic Writing Practice Tests The Academic Writing test is 60 minutes long. There are two tasks. Candidates are required to write at least 150 words for Task 1 and at least 250 words for Task 2.The Writing Task 1 of the IELTS Academic test requires you to write a summary of at least 150 words in response to a particular graph (bar, line or pie graph), table, chart, or process (how something works, how something is done).The essay for Task 2 of the IELTS writing exam is something that a lot of students are afraid of.
